Greetings fellow currency holders and Zim hopefuls! I have only been on this ride for about a year. Much respect for those of you that have refused to jump off over the many years of patient certainty.
I wanted to share a poem I wrote about allowing the miracle to happen. It is based on a story that Wayne Dyer shared in one of his many books entitled "Real Magic." He was describing how to get into the miracle mindset. There are certain beliefs, attitudes, perspectives etc. that will put us into a state of mind where miracles are more likely to occur....sometimes quite quickly.
His story centered around his morning routine of meditating beneath the same tree and attempting to make a flower to fall from the branch with his will power and faith. After all, wasn't it written that "Faith can move mountains"? He reasoned that if it is true that we have the ability to affect our physical world through faith, focus, and persistence, then he should be able to make the flower fall. He was teaching a retreat in Hawaii that week, and he thought it was the perfect time to walk the talk and create a miracle...perhaps one he could then immediately share with his students.
What he discovered however, was that it wasn't until he stopped trying to force things to happen that the miracle occurred.
The Flower Falls
Daily during the dawning, I sit beneath this tree
To meditate upon the limb that lingers over me
And on that branch a blossom hangs indifferent to my plea
That it release it's tiny grip to drift down here to me
If "these and greater works than these" was meant for one and all
Then mind mingles with the molecules and words will walk through walls
If Spirit infuses all that is, then it must hear my call
If faith can move the mountain, then I will make that flower fall
Despite my morning mantra, that affirms today's the day!
The fragile, fragrant petals will not let me have my way
With miraculous intentions, in search of proof I pray
And although I will them to my feet, upon the limb they stay!
I surrender this experiment and cease all my demands
I ask instead how may I serve a greater, grander plan
I put my inner guidence completely in command
Then suddenly, from the silence, IT drops into my hand.
