Pete.. I have been of the mind set for years that ALL Schools should be private one.
Base on the vary simple concept of economics that competition creates better service and even quality .. like product.
At these days.. if providing services to a school system, is a bid for comes from a private vendor .. then this one would assume creates the higher level of service and even product to in hoping to maintaining its contract.. So why shouldn't it be the same concept for Schools..
The first benefit would be that there will be no more school taxes. Take that away from corporations (if they have to pay a school tax on property ? ) this would entice business to move into areas to do business.. build factories..etc. And in this respect why should anyone one be extorted to pay a property tax for schools if they don't benefit from it.. If I a single man wanted to have the American dream of owning a home but being fleeced to pay for something I don't use or need ? Anyways
This would make jobs for people to work to which they could afford to pay the tuition's, teachers would be in competition to have to be at a higher level in many ways. I would think that every school would then be on a even par (golf talk) academically then.
Why shouldn't schools and treachers be in competition to each other... scholastically & academically?
Here is one more issue I have.. I don't know what it is in other states but in New York teachers are all to have to get their Masters. Does a Masters warrant the Pay? A small country school district who's school taxes aren't the same as a wealthy suburb school district.. that can pay its teachers more.. It would seem to make it harder to keep or attract teachers to the smaller schools..why.. because they got a Masters degree.
Some years ago I found a man that wrong a book on how all schools can or should be private...and even pay for the not so fortunate to attend.
I guess you can start private schools.. There are many Catholic school's, Christian Schools, and private schools (1st -12th) but these people still have to pay school taxes.. Even those teachers.
We have to get the education out of the Governments hands.. Maybe then a higher percentage of eighth graders could pass the 1800>? final eighth-grade exam of Salina Kansas.
I couldn't.. Vee.
Ps ..my oldest brother went one yr..collage at Salina Kan. He's working at Gitmo now.
