Starlight Polish Mythological Sparkles Collection Swatches and Review

Starlight Polish has a new addition to the Mythological series of unicorn pee and sister pigments! The Mythological Sparkles Collection features six clear-base toppers with multichrome microglitters. One is the famous red-green original "unicorn pee" pigment, along with four other sister shifts and one polish combining all of the pigments. This type of pigment is generally much sparklier than other multichromes and these show off that feature beautifully. It launches on May 17 on Starlight Polish's sites at 7PM MDT and on Psyche's Beau, the e-tailer (ships internationally) for pre-order on May 18 at 12PM PDT. Let's have a look at these beauties!

First notes on formula - these all dry quickly with a great formula. They are ULTRA-packed with the magical pigment and the colors and sparkles show up easily on their own or as toppers. The multichrome microglitter doesn't really leave a texture and smooths out with a single layer of top coat. I wore all of them with four coats on their own, to give you an idea of opacity and their basic character (as well as the look over lighter colors), and as a single coat over black (shown first). Note that the unicorn pee and sister pigments form a kind of rainbow, with the shift of one leading into another. The one exception is the shade that combines all the pigments, which gives a bit grayer effect and is kind of like an more colored holographic polish when worn. They are reviewed below in alphabetical order. Each is priced at $16 for full size 15ml bottles or $11 for 7.5ml bottles. I have plenty of the smaller bottles and the brushes are great in them.

Starlight Polish Dragon Wishes is a bronze-to-green multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with bronze-to-turquoise multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the second polish from left in the collage, and the unicorn pee sister pigment closest to the original.

Starlight Polish Kelpie Wishes is a teal-to-violet multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with teal-to-fuchsia multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the second polish from right in the collage, so it is the second-most blue sister pigment.

Starlight Polish Phantasmal Chimera Wishes is a multi-colored multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with four colors of  multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the third polish from left in the collage and combines all of the shimmers and glitters of the collection. It is really sparkly and reminds me a bit of holographic pigment.

Starlight Polish Phantom Wishes is a blue-to-purple multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with blue-to-orange  multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the right-most polish in the collage and is the most extreme blue-purple of the lot. The shift almost glows at extreme angles.

Starlight Polish Phoenix Wishes is a red-to-green multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with red-to-green multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the left-most polish in the collage and contains the original, famous "unicorn pee" pigment.

Starlight Polish Unicorn Wishes is an emerald green-to-blue multichrome unicorn pee shimmer in a clear base with teal-to-fuchsia multichrome microglitters. One coat over black. This is the third polish from right in the collage, so it is the third-most blue sister pigment. It is closest to Kelpie Wishes in color but leans more bright green than turquoise in the main color reflection.

I love all the options the Mythological Wishes Collection presents. They show up brilliantly over black in a single coat, but will also work over other colors or as a subtle shimmer on your nail without a base color.
