Save the date for the 6th conference TILTing perspectives!
Every two years, the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT) organizes the conference TILTing perspectives. The theme of this year's conference is ‘Regulating a world in transition’ and it will be taking place between 15 until 17 May at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. The three-day event will gather researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and interested members of the broader public to discuss topics at the intersection of law, technology and society.
Plenary sessions, panel discussions, and paper presentations are all part of the program, which features the following parallel tracks: intellectual property, responsibility in artificial intelligence, data protection, digital clearinghouse, health and environment, justice and data market.
Some of the keynote speakers are Karen Yeung, Niva Elkin-Koren (intellectual property track), Lee Bygrave (data protection track), Virginia Dignum (responsibility in artificial intelligence track), Alan Riley (digital clearinghouse track), Seda Gürses (justice and data market), and Geert van Calster (health and environment track). There are some parallel events to the conference TILTing perspectives. The first one was the pre-event Gikll on 14 May 2019, in which topics at the intersection of law, technology, and popular culture were discussed (e.g. Legal systems for Dungeons and Dragons were addressed).
The second pre-event is VICI in which privacy protection issues in the 21st century are covered. The VICI symposium took place on 14 May and the VICI panels will be held on 15 May. Last, but not least, the EU HUB NOC meeting will take place on 16 May. The agenda is available here.
