Ammar al-Hakim gives Abdul-Mahdi a few days before going to his government's opposition
3rd June, 2019
The Coalition for Reform and Reconstruction (AMR) on Monday gave coalition leader Ammar al-Hakim a deadline for Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to hold a "real reform" in the Iraqi state and tackle "all failures and failures in his government."
"Hakim gave a deadline to Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi until the end of Eid al-Fitr, and the government of Abdul-Mahdi to carry out real reform measures or direct reform to the opposition," Rep. Nada Shaker Jawdat told Asharq Al-Awsat.
"The meetings and ongoing dialogues between the parties to reform, to discuss and discuss the orientation of the coalition to the opposition to the truth, and officially and publicly, as we are waiting for what will be done by Abdul Mahdi, although the deadline is nearing completion, without doing anything on the ground. HUUUUGE article!!! Thank you Samson!! IMO it would appear Mahdi has a short time to "Git 'er Done!"

Wow! When I read this it sounds to me that they are wanting the reforms completed this week! Perhaps that fits in with what 2cents brought us about the CBI being closed this week. Wouldn't that be wonderful!

IMO, NOBODY really knows when they will RD/RV and/or RI..........We are one day closer!!!!
This week would appear to be a great window, BUT........who knows......
Parliament returns on the 11th..........will there be anything required to be done?? If so, 6/30ish looks more likely..........However, the Kurds could show this week after Eid and all agreements for all issues and ministers could be resolved finally.......
Remember, they pushed the Financial Management Agreement through before Eid.......Is that what the IMF wanted passed "rapidly"????? If so, things could be moved quickly........
At least Hakim would appear to think it can get done this week......He is pretty high up on the political totem pole.....

Trump arrives in Britain amid a political crisis in London
2019/6/3 10:59
President Donald Trump on Monday kicked off a three-day state visit to Britain at a time of political crisis over the collapse of BRICEST.
Trump and his wife Melania will be greeted at Buckingham Palace before they have lunch with Queen Elizabeth II and attend an evening dinner. Trump did not hesitate to interfere in Britain's internal affairs prior to his arrival. In interviews with British newspapers he criticized the manner in which Teresa Mae managed the negotiations with the European Commission and recommended that former Secretary of State Boris Johnson, who supports the BRICEST without a deal, to her. He also praised the Nabil Faraj, leader of the Brikst party, who won the European Parliament elections.
Trump's remarks sparked a debate, condemned by British Labor leader Jeremy Corbin as "unacceptable interference in our democracy."
Like other US presidents who have visited Britain, Trump will focus on the "special relationship" between his country and Britain, which has faced numerous tests recently in a number of files, including Iran, Britain is defending its nuclear agreement with them.
Washington is also pressing London to exclude China's Huawei Telecom Group from its fifth-generation network. As during his previous official visit to Britain in July 2018, during which tens of thousands of people took to the streets of London to denounce, this time also launched several calls to demonstrate against Trump's current visit to Britain.
Trump will attend Wednesday's ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landing in Portsmouth, southern England, along with Queen Elizabeth II and French President Emmanuel Macaron. He will then visit his wife Melania Ireland on June 6 and then head to Normandy, France, to attend the celebrations, which France has prepared for the occasion. LINK
