12 officers and police officers in Diwaniyah receive double salaries

A committee of audit of the Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior discovered the receipt of 12 officers and associates belonging to Diwaniyah Police Directorate for double salaries from the Ministry of Interior and the Pension Board, contrary to the controls and instructions totaling more than 760 million dinars.

"Inspector General Gamal al-Asadi directed his offices in Baghdad and the provinces and his audit committees to match and inventory the accounts of the ministry's departments and to determine their compliance with the exchange standards stipulated by law and within the government budgets for the current year and the years that preceded it," the statement said.

"The audit committee of the Office of the Inspector General in the province of Diwaniyah, the appointment of 12 officers and members of the Directorate of Diwaniyah Police received double salaries, at the same time one of the Ministry of Interior and the other from the General Pension Authority, despite continuing to serve in the Ministry of Interior and the total amounts Received by the 12 officers and the beneficiaries of 760 million and 944 thousand dinars."

Interior Inspectorate: 316 cases of corruption discovered last month

Interior Ministry Inspector-General Jamal al-Asadi announced in his monthly report on the overall activities of his office that the Directorate of Inspection was able to detect 316 cases of administrative and financial corruption during the month of May 2019 in Baghdad and the provinces.

The Asadi said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it, "the total cases of administrative corruption, which was discovered in the departments of the ministry in Baghdad alone, amounted to 108 cases, while cases of financial corruption 12 cases, while cases of administrative corruption discovered in the departments of the ministry in other provinces 180 cases and cases of financial corruption 16 cases. "

He explained that "the indicators of administrative corruption discovered in Baghdad were 75 cases of negligence, 20 cases of fraud, and 8 cases of functional exploitation, and 4 cases of abuse of power, and the case of blackmail only one, while the indicators of financial corruption of the departments of Baghdad 5 cases of waste of public money, 3 cases of embezzlement, two cases of bribery, one bribery case and the same concealment of materials.

Al-Asadi pointed out that "indicators of administrative corruption discovered in the departments of the ministry in the governorates were 131 negligence cases, 20 cases of functional exploitation, 18 cases of misuse of power, 11 cases of fraud, while indicators of financial corruption 14 cases of negligence, One such theft."
