I thought I would get my disability check today but it didn't come. However something happened I didn't expect. Actually two things happened. First, Verizon passed me in a credit check for a phone and service. I'm the most surprised guy in Wisconsin. You should see my face.
People walking by me are like damn dude did you pass a credit check or something?
Secondly I got a letter from the title loan people and they said they would close it out for $700 when I owe like 3 times that.
People passing by me are like woah check that poor ass welfare dude's face out. Either he passed a credit check for a new phone or a title loan company is willing to settle.
There is a catch though. I only have 10 days. If I don't pay rent, electric, WiFi and pawnshop I could grab that deal, get my title back and sell the car for a grand. But selling used cars isn't always a quick turn around and besides where would I sleep when the landlord chooses someone less loserish for my apartment?
Now hold on folks there is more. You won't believe this trifecta of good fortune but the salvation army is going to give me $150 for rent.
People passing by are like jeeze will you look at that dudes face. Clearly the salvation army has agreed to help his poor ass.
But wait there is more... Many nice people plus the gubbermint cheese program have already saved me so those blessings need to be celebrated as well in a truly grateful manner. Best I have today is a little self deprecating humor to offer but hey it's something right?
But wait there is more, Judy and Markz and Renobambino2020 say 800 numbers by Friday and being the eternal dinarian optimist I have already started a shopping cart at Amazon to replace my raggedy underwear.
But wait... there is more. I have this awesome portable chair and I am sitting outside under a tree with my phone that doesn't pick up Internet inside unless I duct tape it to the window and sit Indian style on my bed with one foot in a copper spitoon. Technology is amazing right. I hear someday we might go to the moon and send pictures of flat earth back.
By the way who wants to invest in my business making Frisbee like flat earths for classrooms worldwide. If we get orders first holy fugging chaching batman.
But wait there is more... Mueller was unmasked and I have a new gallon of milk.
God is good.
