Something I learned today about large tips to servers.
If you go to a restaurant and you have a super server you want to have a large tip, do this....give the server a small tip, then as you get ready to leave, hand them the large amount discreetly.
DO NOT LEAVE THE LARGE AMOUNT AS THE TIP!! The reason for this is, a lot of restaurants have tip sharing, which means, a percentage of tips of each server goes to pay bus boys, and hosts.
A lot of restaurants use this as a way of payng those employees. As an example...you give your server a tip of $5000. Then that server has to give a percentage of that as a tip share.
If you leave a tip, and then discreetly give the server the $5000, they won't have to pay a tip share on it. Just wanted to share this in case you didn't know...

Bloomberg: GE, Power China Win Contract for Dam on Zambia, Zimbabwe Border (7/13/19)
A consortium led by General Electric Co. and Power Construction Corp. of China Ltd. was officially awarded a contract for the Batoka Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme, which involves building a 2400 megawatt power station on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe, the Zambezi River Authority said.
Both Zambia and Zimbabwe are facing a power crisis as a drought has reduced water levels to 27% at Lake Kariba, the world’s largest man-made reservoir, a key power source for the two countries.
"As a result of the abnormal rainfall pattern of the current season, coupled with uncertainty associated with future rainfall patterns for the region, factors of which spell out the need to fast track measures to establish additional water storage and power generation infrastructure, there was therefore need for the two governments to ensure that the implementation of the Batoka Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme was expedited," the authority said in an emailed statement.
