"Lop, Drop, or Neither" by MenoReno - 8.27.19

There's a lot of discussion about whether or not the dinar will lop or drop off the zeros on their large notes. Personally, I think neither is the option they intend on.

The big notes that we purchased will be retired inside Iraq. Actually, they have been doing this for some time. Remember that Kuwait revalued their currency and it's currently the highest valued in the world.

Other oil-rich Mid-East currencies, are worth over twice the value of the US dollar. So, the arguments against Iraq devaluing to a rate that isn't in the same range as their neighbors just doesn't hold water.

We are told the rate showing up on back screens at the banks is $3.91. Whether or not this is the rate offered us, we won't know until we are at the bank. But it is in the range of their neighbor Kuwait, which it shares the southern oil fields with.
