"Zim Bond Questions" by (Anonymous) - 8.1.19
There has been a lot of misinformation regarding the zim currency. The 2008-9 series that we expect to exchange are bank notes. The 2016 series are called bond notes. But they are not really bonds.
As you noted, bonds come with expiration dates, and if they are interest bearing, they come with coupons that can be turned in each year for the percent the bonds offer. The bank notes are currency and have no expiration date, although the government of Zimbabwe can put a limit on how long a period they will honor their redemption.
Hope this helps.
