Central Bank: the rise of bank assets to more than 120 trillion dinars

Baghdad - Iraq today:
The Central Bank of Iraq announced the rise of bank assets to more than 120 trillion dinars, indicating that this indicates an increase in the confidence of depositors in banks.
The bank said in a statement that "the assets of banks during 2018 increased by 10% compared to 2017 to exceed 120 trillion dinars equivalent to $ 100 billion," noting that "this indicates an increase in the confidence of depositors in banks, which reflects positively on the development of banks performance and its contribution to the development Iraqi Economy.
The statement added that "the strategic actions carried out by the fundamentally contributed to increase confidence in the banking sector and improved rates of financial inclusion, which reflected on the growth rate and the rise of banks' assets and deposits steadily," adding that "this rise came from mutual trust between citizens and the banking system from During the development of attracting cash deposits and commercial operations to banks more.
