I have seen numerous people claim that "the IMF announces a global gold treaty calling on all countries to use the gold standard."
This is ludicrous. The IMF is an organization of central banks. It exist only as an international power house to fulfill the whims of the fiat central bankers. As Trump has repeatedly stated, "Gold will be the downfall of the fed." That applies to all central banks whose only power is in fiat currency. Once the world returns to a gold backed currency, the central banks will collapse as along with them the IMF. So please explain why the IMF would announce and suggest the world to return to a gold standard. Suicide, maybe?
