A Christian is someone who believes in God, accepts Christ Jesus, the living word of God, as their personal Lord and Saviour, and the written word, the Bible, as true.
Christ Jesus is not owned any religious group. Christ paid for all of us on the cross and those who put their trust in Him are therefore called Christians.
