"We have Miles to Go Before we Sleep" by Bonni B - 1.19.20
We are "between the woods and the frozen lake", dear, yes! Stillness... Silence...Our horse sense knows. It is okay to reflect at this time. For how long, who knows? And what do we feel? Our harness bells are given a shake now, again! Welcome it. And some day you will wish it were still so tranquil, as acceleration becomes the realty you know. You know from whence this comes. Trust it! Bless the sound. There is no mistake! Love you all! Keep going!
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
BY ROBERT FROST
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost, “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” from The Poetry of Robert Frost.
