Lets start this article from bedtime. I know, pretty dumb, but there is a point.
11:00pm - Go to bed, get lucky, go to sleep, wake up - 6:30am
6:30am - Wake up, ready kids for school, pack lunch off they go. - 7:00am.
7:00am - Make coffee, jump in shower, get ready, out you go. - 7:30am.
7:30am - Drive to work, battle road rage hand gestures, clock in. - 8:00am.
8:00am - Do the 8 hour Hell grind until quitting time. 4:30pm - 5:00pm.
5:00pm - Battle the road rage pleasantries, home sweet home. - 5:30pm.
5:30pm - Kiss future next ex-spouse, make dinner, yell at kids. - 6:30pm.
6:30pm - Clean kitchen, homework, get kids ready for/put in bed. - 9:00pm.
9:00pm - Smile at future alimony recipient, obligatory chit-chat. - 9:05pm.
9:05pm - Now it's finally your time. Check email, cruise the usual sites 30 min. Read 3 articles that took 20 min. Pick out 5 videos: 30min - 30min - 45min - 90min - 60min total 5hr 5min. Hmm, wasn't there less than 2 hours left?
Ultimately, if you can avoid rabbit holes (the 3-5min videos), you went to bed at 11:00pm having checked email, viewed your favorite sites, scanned a few articles and read a bunch of patriot/anon video - titles only. Why? Because you've learned the video producers spend 80% of the videos running time on a monologue intro, saying the same thing twice before finally getting to the point. Ultimately repeating that same point 3-4 different ways before replicating the same on 3 more topics.
Attention Creators and Producers! we're not brain dead! we woke up already! State your point only once then Mercifully End It.
Organize your papers and agenda before hand. We don't need to watch you make coffee, connect with your guest, do sound checks (Can you hear me now?) and/or verify video links during the show. This is how you become a real producer of meaningful, pertinent content.
Finally this isn't a cable network that needs a 30 or 60 minute time slot filled. It's ok to do a 6-8 minute video then SHUT UP. We really don't want to spend "The Precious Last 2 Hours" listening to 80% babble. Many of us have toddlers for that.
It's the hour, when the day seems to die in our arms. "Producers - Make Your Point Then SHUT UP" (Should be the real title of this article). Don't drag it out.
