I live in Thailand.
I am an American and I filled out the form for relief funds.
"Every American will get $1,200 in relief", The president said.
There are many Americans with no means of income now.
I got the check from the US Treasury and I had to pay THB 500 for the process to approve and it will be 45 days until they can deposit the money in my account, so I can use it!
What kind of relief is that? I'm hungry and I have bills now!
I am imagining the Tsunami of 2004 and thinking that the few who survived would have to wait 45 days to get some food, shelter and clothes after a disaster - this disaster is worldwide!
People need help now - not in 45 days!
People please understand this is a disaster for everyone!
I need food and cooking gas!
