I have a ideal for something I want to do in New York..
Some post I made in the past I mentioned that I can not recall any monuments that is dedicates to the memory for the war of Independence..
We see all the ones that are about all other wars..yet I dare say not one in each county of New York that is dedicated for the war of independence and celebrated on the 4th of July.
I would like to create a group dedicating $$ to erect monuments in each county seat of New New York for this purpose.
Many years ago I found in a small village library a book with the names of men ...I believe it was by county that had enlisted into the continental army or were those of State militias. After each monument is made..with the names on the or not... That every 4th of July that a wreath placed at each Monument...much like the Tomb of the Unknown soldiers at Arlington..and the Names of each man that served in the war for independence form that county be stated..if served or perished-perhaps the date ...less these be forgotten.
I hope all the others in this cite from the other 13 colonies-States will do the same.
If you are not from these 13 States ...and wish to contribute for this ..great...or create a monument in your State Capital for this purpose.. commemorating that of the war for independence.
