This video is most telling in many ways.. Some of you may have seen this today - this morning.

When did the change happen or has it always been a policy ? Of returning items that one bought from a store. Wasn't it like ... buyer beware or all sale are final ? As a child I don't remember my parent ever returning anything.. As as that goes I never did ether, well not till not so long ago.

Most the time any thing major like a refrigerator, washing mechanic dryer, hot water heater, furnace and car came with a warranty . and if something happened after that time.. well YSOOL..

I guess it's a economic cycle... and the end is a landfill. I can't see it continuing this way it has to end.

Typically about 8% of items purchased at a store will be returned; for ecommerce sites, that can be as much as 25% to 40%. And all the stuff that stores cannot easily resell will wind up in the secondary market, where one company's trash can become other people's treasure. Rita Braver visits liquidators who process and resell goods that are just as good as new, or even newer.
