This is a little scary. Capital One was hacked a while ago. It was investigated by FBI but the thieves managed to get a lot of personal info.
Well a charge of 400 dollars showed up on Capital One bill. Then his Discover statement showed a charge in California that he did not make because he had a true charge at a business in Colorado at same time.
These bogues charges are being made on this machine. A debit machine called a PP*ABCCASHANTI machine. Smaller business use these for giving cash back to customers. The scary part is whoever is doing this is using a chip to steal the money. Capital One claims the chips are not hackable. Then how can a person be across country at same time he is in another state also doing a different transaction. The chips are being used to steal money. SCARY! Who and how can t one chip be duplicated if non-hackable.
If I am given a debit card I will make sure it is to an account with limited funds.
