"Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!" by Michael Murdock - 11.26.19

Just a quick note to wish everyone in IDC a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving. I am thankful for much this year and for actually being alive thanks to the kindness of some of you that you have shown me at differing times when I didn’t think I’d be around. Some have called, some have texted, others have written to my p.o.box just to let me know they were thinking of me and wanted to check and make sure I was ok.

It’s truly the little things that make all the difference in the world. I’ve been asked by some why I don’t go to a shelter and check in. Because I don’t want to be part of that system of having freedom cut off, plus I have stayed in a shelter before and have not slept one bit while I was there because I didn’t feel safe in that environment so the supposed relaxing doesn’t happen. Lastly I don’t do well being restrained by limits so part of my saving grace has been the freedom to come and go when I need to and to have a knowing that my stuff is safe and not going anywhere. I am lucky when I am able to dog/housesit that there is no one else there but me and the dogs so that I am able to get some very deep sleep. One day when I have my own apartment I plan to take a week and just sleep!

I like everyone else is awaiting the RV still. I know we’re all hoping for December. I’ve not heard anything different from my contacts at this time so I can only presume that what I shared a couple of months ago will come to pass. I pray that it does so we can all finally say goodbye to being without the things we desire and can get to work on our projects and purpose in this lifetime.

I will be spending this holiday in the car once again and I will be looking around to find some place to have a meal, perhaps a soup kitchen or church in the area, get something to eat and then find a safe place to park and spend the night. I have a dog sit coming up the 1st of December so I am looking forward to that to do some laundry and clean up.

God bless ALL of you and your families in this time of holiday. For me this is a time of reflection and the last holiday I had with my dog before she died when I moved back to Arizona from California. It’s always a tough one for me, but recently many people have been asking about her so she’s been very present in my head and my heart. Those who’ve lost a pet will understand.

You’re all in my prayers and I wish for you to enjoy your time with the families, to eat, to drink and to be merry!

Thank you to all who have been kind enough over the past year to share with me, connect with me, and to help me when you were able to.

Happy Thanksgiving!
