After looking around for a coin dealer with whom to buy silver and form a long-term relationship, I found a unique organization based in my area with goals that are very harmonious with IDC - getting folks back to constitutional currency.
United Precious Metals Association - www.upma.org - is a non-profit, membership-based organization that offers these unique features:
1) UPMA is a non-profit organization (501 c 6) with a mission to help get people and our country back to the gold standard. It is the champion of legal tender in the nation and is experienced in helping states pass legal tender laws.
2) Because UPMA is a membership organization, members buy and sell to each other. Since there is no middle man, there is no buy/sell spread.
3) UPMA has the country's first exclusive legal tender repository. Metals are fully insured, stored in a BRINKS vault and easily redeemed/liquidated.
4) UPMA offers dollar-cost-averaging for legal tender coins, as an option, for those who wish it. We can dollar-cost-average deposits over one week, over two weeks, or over one month.
