NIGHT PRAYER: Saturday July 4

My friend, John Hudson, is pastor of Pilgrim Church in Sherborn, MA.  John created this video for his congregation's prayer this weekend. I'm pleased to share it here as our Night Prayer as the sun goes down on the Fourth of July in tumultuous 2020... 



Protect our nation, Lord, in our waking hours:
   keep us alert in caring for one another...

Watch over us while we sleep, Lord,
   be our refuge and our shelter all through the night...

As we keep vigil for your presence and your truth,
   give us rest and sleep until the sun shall rise again...

Amen.
